Matthieu Cijsouw

For more than 25 years I have helped multinational companies to design, implement and manage secure IT Infrastructures from network layer, data centers services to modern mobile workplaces.

I am a highly technically skilled, customer focused IT consultant and IT (project) manager with a pragmatic and hands-on approach. My strength is translating business requirements into reliable and fit for purpose IT solutions and to ensure the project is delivered in a high-quality and predictable way.

In 2021 I decided to set up my own company “MRC IT Services” to diversify my client base and to be my own boss.

Recent projects

Helping Avantium with their digital transformation roadmap as Infrastructure and Security Architect.
Main objectives; Design and delivery of the Connect365 project, meaning designing, implementing and migrating to the full power of Microsoft 365. Completely redefining the Avantium IT governance. Last objectives are to select and start a Security Awareness Training system and start this multi-year training program and design and execute the Lync PSTN calling to Teams PSTN calling.

Avantium - AmsterdamJuly 2021 – Present

Worked at Centrient Pharmaceuticals as IT-Consultant. With main to transfer my former job to the new Head of IT Infrastructure of Centrient based in India.
In addition I delivered several projects like renewing the licensing contract with Microsoft (lowering costs), onboarding of new production location into Centrient IT Infrastructure, developing and implementing a new workplace booking app, selected and implementing a new VMS (Vulnerability Management System).

Centrient - RijswijkJuly 2021 – December 2021
As Head of IT infrastructure, I was responsible for smooth and continuous delivery of the entire IT Infrastructure of Centrient Pharmaceuticals against agreed budgets.
Leading the global IT infrastructure team of 16 FTE (located in India, China, Spain, Mexico and the Netherlands), delivering first and second line support. Also managing several contracts with IT partners and software vendors.
Proud of the well-functioning, modern and secure, IT landscape, which I designed, implemented, and managed. Projects, worth mentioning, are the implementation of a new IT Service Management system, implementation of data classification with Microsoft 365, replacement of radio communication system and the onboarding of the companies new production location in India into the IT Infrastructure.
Centrient - RijswijkAugust 2020 - July 2021
Global IT Manager at Centrient Pharmaceuticals (formerly DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals).
Major achievements were the renewal of the IT Infrastructure introducing internet centric modern workplace using all Microsoft 365 technology, implementation of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) (replacing local next generation firewalls), selecting and implementing improved email security, selecting and implementing Managed Detect and Response (MDR), replacing the global LAN and Wireless LAN infrastructure with more cost effective switches, wireless access points and introduction of network access control (NAC), selected and started the IT Security Awareness program, implemented Microsoft Teams and first apps in PowerApps.
Last project worth mentioning; consulted DSM site Delft in a project to relocate the glass fiber and copper campus cabling to a new building. I am proud on these achievement as these prepared Centrient for the COVID-19 pandemic and no extra measures were needed as every employee could already work remotely.

IT operations manager at InnoGenerics BV Leiden

In cooperation with Q7 Consulting, ad-interim IT manager and IT engineer (hands-on), managing the entire IT environment of InnoGenerics. We took-over the IT operations, as-is, within one month from former IT provider and manage and redesign/modernize the entire Microsoft and Cisco based IT infrastructure till today. Recently replaced the VMWare based hypervisor infrastructure and setup a new green-field Active Directory.

IT consultant, hands-on IT engineer for the implementation of a M365 tenant and data migration from several sources into this new M365 tenant. Implemented and managing Exchange Online, Microsoft Endpoint manager, Defender for Business/O365, Teams and SharePoint online.
